Baccarat System Myth-Buster
Every “system” you’ve been sold is theatre. Here’s the math the trend board hopes you never learn.
The fixed edges
| Bet | Payout | House edge | Per 1,000 staked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Banker | 0.95 : 1 | 1.06% | -10.60 |
| Player | 1 : 1 | 1.24% | -12.30 |
| Tie | 8 : 1 | 14.36% | -143.60 |
| Pair | 11 : 1 | 10.36% | -103.60 |
Banker is the least-bad bet on the table, even after the 5% commission. Tie and the side bets are where the table makes its money.

Doubling from your base, you get 8 steps before the table max stops you. Lose that many in a row — about a 1-in-230 event — and you’re down 255,000 MMK, erasing roughly 255 prior base-unit wins. Each hand’s expectation is unchanged and negative. Systems move variance around; they never move the edge.
Bet Banker, flat stakes, skip Tie and all side bets, and set a loss limit before you sit down.
